I have nothing against this article and I know that whoever wrote all of this really used a lot of their time editing this page, but still, this article only states arguments to point out that Manny was the father of the family and not the calf, and as for me, only one argument (2) The scripts of the movie explain that the other Mammoths in the cave paintings were Manny's mate and child and not his parents.) is enough to point out this. Did Manny reveal to Ellie and Peaches what happened to his original family prior to the events of Collision Course?[]
After watching the argument between Manny and Peaches in Continetal Drift, I think it's more than likely that Manny told Ellie and Peaches that he had a family of his own until they were killed by humans sometime before Collision Course happened, which is why he was overprotective of Peaches in that film, and especially considering that Peaches was old enough to know the truth at the time.
