Doug Compton is a writer for the first Ice Age film.
Having attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 1975, Compton joined the Perpetual Motion Pictures production company as an animation artist in 1978. After this, Compton worked freelance for a number of studios in New York, adding onto his clientele within other cities. In 1981, Compton went on to create Karmatoon, his own freelance animation company.
